Boys Fort in Portland

The Nutcracker's Rat King, Santa, the Sugarplum Fairy and mayor Sam Adams of Portland were in attendance last week for the grand opening of the PDX Pop-Up Shops.

No map needed to find this wonderful place, if you remember the location of the Portland Galleria Mall.
600 Morrison on the corner of SW 10th St in Portland, Oregon.

Just open the door to Suite 114 and be prepared to be amazed.

Industrial recycled lighting of all types.

This would look perfect in our house!

Just for the Holidays, don't you need a moose with gold gilded antlers!

Brian made this box guitar with a vintage bottle slide - it has a great blue grass sound. It has sold. He's working on two more I will share when he's finished.

I love this wall. Such a great mix of reclaimed wood and vintage pieces.

Part of my contribution to the mix. Neck chains for the Boys Fort. Except as it turns out, women have been buying them for themselves. So next week there will be a few girl-like necklaces up there along side the boy's neck chains.

T-Shirts with the way cool Boys Fort Logo.

This kinetic piece of art will knock you out.

Confusions say, get yourself down here!
The trunk (that's already sold) was used to ship samples of Pendleton Blankets by rail and still has the last shipping tag on it.

Seriously, this is one heavy table! It's made of reclaimed wood from one of the old Trolley buildings right here in the area. Can you see the railroad spikes in both the table and the stools?

You have to take time to smell the ....succulents? or at least get close up and enjoy the mini gardens that are placed all around the windows. They are like tiny secret gardens.

Double wrapped cuffs I made that are seated on a vintage cloth covered chair.

Bow Ties!

Here's a neck chain that we dropped off last week when we were there for the opening. It's made from an old poker chip and key.

This one is made of a vintage celluloid horse harness ring and an old Indian Head Nickel.

I took so many photos it was difficult to edit down to these few here. I just may have to add another post later!
