7th Bead Soup Blog Party

It's the 7th Bead Soup Blog party!
This is the third time I've taken part and each one has pushed me to try new things, learn more about design and work with new and different jewelry components. There is only one this year, but it's a biggie! There are over 400 jewelry designers taking part from every corner of the world.

Bead Soup was the dreamed up by Lori Anderson, who assigns each participant a partner. Then you choose your soup: a mixture of beads and findings, mail them to your partner and wait to see how she cooked up your bead soup. On reveal day you can check back and see what has been created.  With so many participants, it's going to be a three part blog hop. I'm in the first round on March 30th.

My Bead Soup partner is Joan Williams, who sent me a fantastic group of beads and more to play with.

She works with vintage bits, like I do, so we both had fun digging through our treasures to challenge each other.

So many possibilities!

This is a great bracelet that Joan created. It was featured in Belle Armoire Jewelry magazine. I love the paint chipping off the hinge and the turquoise peeking out from underneath, matching the center bead. You can see more of her work on her blog Lilruby Jewelry Blog and find links to her Etsy shop there, too.

I want to thank Lori Anderson for putting together this massive hop. She puts so much time into matching up all the partners and keeping everything running smooth.
You rock, Lori!

LOL, Gretchen - I had almost forgotten what all I sent you! I hope you're finding some things to inspire you and having fun. I'm having a great time with the treasures you sent to me - I've made 3 things so far, and am working on the 4th now.

Thanks for mentioning my hinge bracelet too!

magnificent put up, very informative. I'm wondering why the other specialists of this sector do not realize this. You should continue your writing. I am sure, you've a great readers' base already!
